Selected papers from the 2022 Conference of European Statistics Stakeholders


All CESS 2022 presenters have the opportunity to submit their full paper for publication in:

1.  Springer-Nature Series Studies in Theoretical and Applied Statistics, which will contain selected papers of methodological and applied interest from the CESS 2022 conference. The submission is now open for the call for papers:

“High-quality and timely statistics: new methods and applications”

Guest Editors:

Marco Mingione, University of Roma Tre

Maurizio Vichi, Sapienza University of Rome

Giorgia Zaccaria, University of Milano-Bicocca

Submission details: papers should be written in LaTeX and the usually expected length is 12 pages (A4 or Letter size with 12 points, fully double-spaced font), including tables, figures, references, and acknowledgments. The front page of the manuscript must contain a concise and informative title, the names, affiliations, and addresses of all the authors, the e-mail address of the corresponding author, an abstract of 150 to 250 words, and 4 to 6 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes. Papers that fail to follow the specific template cannot be published in the volume. Please, click here to download the specific template for submitting the paper. Linguistic quality is your responsibility, in case the paper needs to be proofread in this regard, you have to arrange for this prior to submitting it.

Submission Deadline: January 31st, 2023 March 8th, 2023.

Notification to authors: May 31st, 2023 (tentative).

Final papers: August 31st, 2023 (tentative).


2. Springer Special Issue of the International Journal ADAC

The submission on ADAC is now open for the following call for papers:

“New methods using Statistics, Data Science and AI for timely, and high-quality statistics”

Guest Editors:

Nadja Klein, Humboldt-Universitaet zu Berlin

Maurizio Vichi, Sapienza University of Rome

Submission details: papers should be written in LaTeX and not exceed 20 pages (A4 or Letter size with 12 points, fully double-spaced font), including illustrations and tables. The front page of the manuscript must contain a concise and informative title, the names, affiliations, and addresses of all the authors, the e-mail address, telephone number of the corresponding author, an abstract of 150 to 250 words, and 4 to 6 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes. Further formatting instructions are given on the journal’s page (ADAC Submission Guidelines).

Submission Deadline: January 31st, 2023 (earlier submission is encouraged).

Notification to authors: April 30th, 2023 (tentative).

Final papers: July 31st, 2023 (tentative).

3. ECB Statistics Paper Series, which will contain selected papers of interest to central banks from the CESS 2022 conference. 


4. The Statistical Journal of the IAOS, which will contain selected papers on governance and management issues in Official Statistics and the relations between statistics and policy-making.
